When making dining reservations, a hold on a credit card is required. What is the hold amount on the credit card? When will the amount be reversed if I pay in cash or use the Dining Plan at the time of the meal?

    Hi Gloria!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. One of my favorite things to do on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is indulge in a variety of delicious cuisines, which I'm glad to see you'll be doing too!

In my past experiences, the hold that has been placed on my credit card has only ever been for $1 and it is usually released within a few days, just to make sure it is a valid card. This is held in the event a Guest potentially does not show for a reservation, as a fee will be incurred. This helps to encourage Guests to cancel a reservation they do not intend to make so that someone else may be able to enjoy the experience.

Please let us know if you have any other questions before your next visit!
