When making dining reservations for a family party of 9, do I include children under the age of 3 (with no park ticket) into the total party size when searching for reservation availability? Thank you!

    Hiya Nicole!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

Lettuce celebrate you going to The Most Magical Place on Earth with your family! You all are going to have such an egg-cellent time together. Whether you’re spending time with your butter half or your entire 'Ohana, there’s Polenta of fun to be had at Walt Disney World Resort.

Let’s cut to the cheese, Nicole; Disney asks you to please include all your Mouseketeers, no matter their age in your dining reservations. The reason for this is because they would like to be sure they can accommodate everyone at the table. Although Mouseketeers under the age of 3 eat for free, Guest safety is a top priority at Walt Disney World Resort, and Cast Members want to make sure they’re complying with safety regulations.

Nicole, did you know there are some wonderful socially distant character dining options for Mouseketeers of all ages in your party to enjoy? My favorite includes Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera where you can enjoy taking selfies with Mickey and friends who are dressed in the cutest outfits. This dining experience is located at Disney’s Riviera Resort; if you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT, you can take the Disney Skyliner over to the Resort hotel and enjoy your meal!

Going with little Mouseketeers is wonderful; it’s quite incredible to watch them take in the magic of Disney. Nicole, look into the Rider Switch Service, if you haven’t already. This feature allows adult Guests to take turns waiting with little ones who are unable to ride some of the attractions. It makes it so you’re not waiting in lines twice as long! Also, you might find this guide designed with younger children in mind to be helpful!

Well, would you look at the thyme? I’ll have to run, but Nicole, if you ever have any more questions about your Disney vacation, we’re all EARS!
