When making advanced dining reservations, do you have to pay up front? Which ADRs in particular do you have to pre-pay for?

    Hi Holly,

This is one question that many guests have when making Advanced Dining Reservations. Advance Dining Reservations allow guests staying the the Walt Disney World Resorts to book their meals 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE or logging onto the Walt Disney World Resort website.

In general, you do not pay anything up front for your reservations. However, there are certain meals such as Hoop Dee Doo Revue or Cinderella's Royal Table which require a credit card to hold the reservation. Your credit card will be charged at the time of the meal. If you need to cancel this meal, you will need to contact Disney Dining to receive a refund within 24-48 prior to the meal.

If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you will still need to provide a credit card as noted above as well as follow the cancellation policy. However, when you have your dining experience, you dining credits will be deducted.

Any meal which requires a credit card to be used to hold the reservation will be noted up front along with the cancellation policy.

    Have a magical vacation!
