What makes a pin "official" enough to trade? Just looking for a starter set, my son is only 4! Thanks!

    Hi Elizabeth,

My daughters started their pin collection around that age. My husband is a big fan of the pins and we have two books of them in our house.

On the back of the pin, you will see a Mickey silhouette with a banner through it. This means it is Disney approved.

You can find starter sets at the parks and online. Disney's Pin Traders in Disney Springs has a ton of pins. We had our daughters pick their first lanyard and then they began trading in the parks. A cast member will only swap for a pin that is not on her/his lanyard.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
