What makes a Christmas cruise different from a Merrytime cruise? My family already did a Merrytime cruise some 4 years back. We want to try a December 24 sailing in 2017.

Welcome back, Ana Marie! My family and I love the Very Merrytime sailings with Disney! Sneaking away from the cold winters back home to head south for the warm waters of the Bahamas and Caribbean is such a treat in itself, but Disney cooks up all sorts of extra Christmas fun onboard the ships all season long! Since you've experienced a Very Merrytime cruise already, you know about so many of the fun activities that take place! My kids adore the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Deck the Deck Tropical party with their favorite Disney friends, meeting Santa who somehow managed to find us at sea, the beautiful gingerbread house in the atrium, and fun Christmas themed crafts and other youth and family activities throughout the sailings.

On a cruise that sails over Christmas Eve and Day, you'll get all of the same fun of a Very Merrytime sailing, plus some extra Christmas magic! Special cookies to leave our for Santa on Christmas Eve, Christmas-themed towel animals, a night of Christmas caroling, a traditional Christmas dinner, special gifts, and special surprise on Christmas morning. Religious services are on the schedule for Christmas too, including Catholic Mass and an interdenominational service. Believe me, if you thought the Very Merrytime cruise was special, you're in for a real treat getting to sail over Christmas itself!

And of course, you can make it extra magical buy pre-ordering a gift or even Christmas decorations to be waiting in your stateroom when you arrive! Check out the Gifts and Amenities Christmas section! You might not experience a white Christmas when you sail with Disney, but you'll certainly have a pixie-dusted Christmas, Ana Marie! Have fun planning!
