Tracey,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Unfortunately, Disney does not mail brochures out any longer as a general rule. I know I had become very reliant on getting my park maps ahead of time, so that my girls and I could work out each day's plan of attack!
Now I know that is not the answer you wanted, but if you are open to working online just for a few minutes, I might be able to help you out a bit, at least with theme park planning.
While they won't mail them out, there are printable versions of the actual in-park maps for the
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park that can be found by clicking on the guide map link at the bottom of the respective web pages for each park. You will find that link directly below the interactive map, down at the very end of the principal web page of each park. Note that the "Map" icon at the top of the page just jumps you down lower on that same page and does not actually open a PDF of a park map. So just keep scrolling, and you will find the right link.
Now this won't help with hotel selection, but if you
write me back with some information on what you are looking for in a Walt Disney World vacation, I could make some recommendations. Also, there are guidebooks still out there that can help with getting a great overall feel of how to plan your trip. The Unofficial Guides are particularly popular, and they cover pretty much everything you might want to know, and probably a bit more!
BONUS TIP #1Printable maps are also available for
Disney Springs, and the two water parks,
Disney's Blizzard Beach and
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Even a map for the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is available.
BONUS TIP #2If you grab the PDFs and then print them out right away, the maps will be hard to read as the scale of the map is not ideal for a standard sheet of paper. I recommend downloading the file and doing some quick cropping to get the map to a larger format for easier reading. It may require you to print out the legend on a separate page, but it will make your use of the maps far easier.
Let me know what information we can help you with, so that you can spend as little time online as possible.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
