mahalo for this panel, lots of ideas & tips! our 1st trip to WDW and beside myself with excitement! Living on a rock in the middle of the pacific, getting lost will be expected, LOL, what is the best route from AK to Hoop Dee and from Studios to B'walk

Hello Hawaii -- I myself would be pretty excited to visit your "rock." We may just get there when Disney opens its Vacation Club resort in Hawaii in 2011. But for now I'll give you my Florida expertise :-)

The two routes you ask about are fairly easy. When you're at the Animal Kingdom and want to get to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, you need to exit the park, go to the bus loading area on your right, and look for the buses going to Fort Wilderness. There will be good signage. Fort Wilderness is HUGE and the main bus area is quite far from Pioneer Hall and the HDDR. So you're going to want to transfer here to an internal Fort Wilderness bus to take you to the HDDR. I have often found that there are cast members there to help you find your way, but even if there are not, the signs are quite good. I would leave the Animal Kingdom about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes in advance of your HDDR reservation.

To get from Disney's Hollywood Studios to the Boardwalk is even more easy. Your first option is to walk. The Boardwalk is about a mile from DHS and there is a clearly marked and lit walking path. If you're too wiped out at the end of a long day of park touring to that (which is usually the case with me) then there is a super convenient boat that will take you to the Boardwalk. The boat dock is to the left as you exit the park. When it arrives, just hop on. The trip is quiet pleasant and relaxing. I'd say you could leave DHS 30-35 minutes before a reservation at the Boardwalk and you'd make it in plenty of time.

I hope you have a wonderful first visit to WDW!
