    It's a magical day!! I read info on magic bands that says that they unlock special surprises that are personalized. How does that work?

    Welcome to planDisney, Ingrid!

    I am somewhat of a MagicBand junkie, so I can not wait to see what fun exciting MagicBand+ designs come out over the coming months. 

    Ingrid, we are still waiting to hEAR exactly what type of functionality we can expect from the MagicBand+, which launches in 2022. What we do know is that the MagicBand+ will use color-changing lights, haptic vibrations, and gesture recognition to even further immerse you in your favorite stories. I am so excited to see how the MagicBand+ interacts with the Disney Fab 50 statues located throughout the parks. I could see my little Mouseketeers creating their own scavenger hunt. 

    If you are attached to your current MagicBand, do not worry! You will still be able to use it as you normally would. This is great news for me, as I dearly love my blush pink MagicBand.
