Welcome aboard, Robert! Isn't it exciting to begin planning a magical cruise with Disney Cruise Line? I've always loved the Disney Magic, but I love it even more now that it's gone through an amazing re-imagination. One of the newest spots onboard after that re-imagination is Marvel's Avengers Academy in the Oceaneer Club.
We've sailed twice on the Disney Magic since the new Avengers Academy opened and I can tell you from experience that it is really cool! The entire Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab have both been renovated from floor to ceiling. My son thought the Avengers Academy was the best thing out there. He loved "Become Iron Man", where he got to virtually try on Iron Man's suit. This event is offered a few times throughout each sailing and is a real "must-do" for any Avengers fan!
While the Magic is the only ship that has Marvel's Avengers Academy, there are some other pretty cool spots inside the Oceaneer Club and Lab on the other three ships too. Check out the
Youth Clubs to see what is available on each ship!
As you begin deciding when to cruise, the best thing to do is check out the
Find A Cruise Page of Disney Cruise Line's website. There you can play around with the ships and itineraries (including all of 2015 which are listed there) and find the cruise itinerary that best fits your desires and budget. All of the 2015 itineraries have been released. 2016 may bring some different itineraries, as Disney Cruise Line loves to switch things up to offer exciting new cruises for guests each year. Those dates are not yet released, but I hope to see the first part of the 2016 itineraries come out this fall.
Have fun planning, Robert, and let us know if you have other questions as you begin getting ready to head out to sea with Captain Mickey!
