Ahoy, Rina! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your questions... we love helping first-time Disney cruisers get ready for their magical voyage!
You’ve picked a wonderful ship for your first adventure. The
Disney Magic is the first ship of the fleet (the OG, though we won’t count the old Big Red Boat)! I love her classic decor and smaller size, and it feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step aboard.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is truly one of the most enchanting experiences for little cruisers! Pricing and package details will appear when you log into the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to make your reservations. You’ll need to book one appointment per child by heading to “My Plans” and selecting “Onboard Fun.” During the booking process, you’ll choose your appointment time, and then onboard, you’ll select the specific package that fits your child.
Here are the current package options and prices (subject to change, of course):
• Fairy Tale Package – $119.99
• Kingdom Package – $229.99
• Adventure Costume Package (formerly the Royal Knight package) – $59.99
• Captain Mickey Package – $169.95
• Captain Minnie Package – $219.95
I love that the offerings aren’t limited to “boys” or “girls” since every guest can choose whichever look speaks to them most. There are even some adorable Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie options, along with special Disney Cruise Line BBB tees if your little one brings their own attire.
If your newly styled princes or princesses want to meet royalty afterward, keep an eye out for the Royal Gathering in your app. It’s usually offered on sea days, though availability can vary, and it needs to be booked in advance. And if you’re planning to join in the Pirate Night fun, the Boutique also offers Pirates League makeovers for buccaneers of all ages!
Also, the
“it’s a small world” nursery! does require advance reservations. Unfortunately, drop-offs without a prior booking aren’t allowed, since space is limited. Reservations can be made through the Navigator app before you sail, and I definitely recommend doing that early for popular times like sea days. If you need to adjust anything once onboard, you can visit the nursery right after boarding to check for openings. There is a small hourly fee for nursery care (unlike the older kids’ clubs, which are included in your cruise fare). An extra planDisney tip is that
families traveling with babies have access to amenities such as complimentary diaper disposal pails and Pack-n-Play portable cribs.
Since this is your first Disney Cruise, my biggest tip is to explore and enjoy! The Navigator app will be your best friend because it lists daily activities, showtimes, character meet-and-greets, and more. Book what you can early, and if an activity like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Royal Gathering is full, stop by Guest Services once onboard to see if any last-minute spots open up.
I’m so excited for you, Rina, and I hope the Disney Magic lives up to her name!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
