Going on the Magic in March,(Yippie) Recently someone said to not have our luggage delivered to our stateroom, to just bring it on ourselves because it doesn't get delivered in time for first dinner. Is this a choice?Thank You

Welcome aboard, Dianna! Congratulations on your upcoming cruise this spring with Disney Cruise Line!

Your friend is correct that sometimes luggage takes awhile to arrive in guests' staterooms on embarkation day. I've found that our luggage has always arrived before we were ready to get dressed for dinner, but there is always the chance that it may be a bit later if you have that first seating.

Guests are welcome to bring one carry-on bag and one purse/tote bag with them when they board. You might just consider packing your outfits for that night's dinner in your carry-on bag so that you know you'll have them in case your luggage isn't ready or you prefer to get changed before your bags arrive. Guest rooms usually aren't ready for you to head into until after 1:30 or 2:00, so you'll have to tote that carry-on with you around the ship until then.

It's also nice to pack the kids' swimsuits in the carry-on in case they want to hit the pool right away before the other guests get there. My kids had the whole Mickey pool to themselves for a good hour when we boarded the Wonder a few weeks ago. They thought that was the best thing, so I am really glad we had packed their suits in my bag so they could enjoy this time while my husband and I snacked on some goodies from the buffet as we sat watching them swim.

Have fun planning, Dianna, and please stop back with other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
