If we are at the Magic Kingdom can we ride the monorail to Epcot and then take a bus to Pop Century? Can we ride the monorail from Magic Kingdom and take a roundtrip back to Magic Kingdom without using a ticket at Epcot?

    Hi Jay,

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like our families are similar. My crew loves all of the Disney transportation so much that sometimes we'll take a ride on a monorail, Disney Skyliner, or boat just because! In fact, when my youngest son was little, no trip to the Walt Disney World Resort was complete without a ride on the iconic monorail! To this day, just hearing the magical words, "Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor manténgase alejado de las puertas," puts a smile on my face!

I'm happy to let you know that, yes, you'll be able to ride the monorail over to EPCOT from Magic Kingdom Park without entering the park and needing a theme park ticket. The cool thing, too, is that as you approach EPCOT, you'll actually travel through part of the park and get to take a peek at what's happening there at the time! Once you arrive at EPCOT, you can either ride the monorail back to Magic Kingdom Park or grab a bus that's heading to Disney's Pop Century Resort. Do note that on the ride from Magic Kingdom Park to EPCOT (and back, if applicable), you'll need to disembark at the Transportation and Ticket Center and switch monorails, but just follow the signs or ask a Cast Member for assistance and you'll be fine!

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Jay, and please come back and see us any time you have a Disney-planning question. I hope you and your fellow Mouseketeers have a truly magical vacation!
