Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Chelsea. I'm so very excited to hear you're planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season! And with a
little one in tow! You're sure to make lots of magical (and merry!) memories.
As a mom of three, I completely understand your concern. I kept all my babies on a pretty strict sleep schedule, so I was always hesitant about interrupting our routine, even if we were on vacation. When you visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks this November, you can expect to see holiday décor and hear seasonal sounds all day long. Some holiday offerings, like Tree of Life Awakenings - Holiday Edition at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Sunset Seasons Greetings at Disney's Hollywood Studios, are only offered at nighttime because they are projection shows. But other holiday offerings, like Merry Menagerie and Santa Claus Motorcade, are available during the daytime.
As for Magic Kingdom Park, you'll only be able to catch exclusive holiday entertainment, including Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, this November in the evening at
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While your baby may not be able to stay up late enough to enjoy this special event, I will say that one of the things I learned about taking a baby to the Walt Disney World Resort is that they're very portable at that age! Experiencing the theme parks late in the night is my absolute favorite, so as hesitant as I was to interrupt my babies' schedules, I hated to miss out on that unique evening magic. I found that I didn't have to miss out, even with a baby in tow! When my kids were tiny, I made sure to dress them in their pajamas before heading to the theme parks in the late evening. They would always fall asleep peacefully in their strollers and snooze right through fireworks and parades! When we got back to our
Disney Resort hotel, I had no trouble transferring them right into their
crib. Since Guests under the age of 3 do not require admission for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you may want to consider taking your baby along and letting them sleep through it!
I hope this was helpful, Chelsea. Please let me know if you have any other questions about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with your sweet little one! I'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
