I will be at Magic Kingdom on New Years Eve 2018 with my daughter's choir field trip. The school chose to stay off-property and only the students can ride on the charter bus. How do you recommend I get back to the hotel after the fireworks?

    Dear Celina,

Thank you so much for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.

How exciting that you plan to visit with your daughter's choir field trip! That sounds challenging that you won't be able to ride the charter bus with them, but there are some options that will help. That night might be especially challenging because it is one of the most popular nights of the year for visitors.

First, the hotel itself may have a shuttle to the parks. You should definitely check with them. If they do not have a shuttle of their own, then I recommend taking a look at a map and figuring out which Walt Disney World Resort hotel is closest to your hotel. I would then take Disney transportation to that hotel and then use a service such as Uber or Lyft to get the rest of the way to your off-site hotel from there.

On an ordinary night, I wouldn't tell you to go to such measures, but on New Year's Eve transportation might be stretched and I want you to be able to get back to the group as soon as possible.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
