Hi Laura!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney!
I’m happy to report that you will not need to exit and reenter the Magic Kingdom if you have a regular park ticket and a
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket for the same day.
Beginning at 4 PM, you’ll be able to check in to the party with a designated Cast Member to receive your wristband showing that you have a party ticket. There are usually several check-in stations located around the park, but if you can’t find one, a Cast Member will be happy to point you in the right direction.
It’s such a big perk to have
regular park admission and a party ticket! You won’t need to deal with the crowds at the entrance to the park when checking in to the party. And you’ll likely find that on party days, the crowds at
Magic Kingdom are a bit lighter, making the attraction wait times shorter.
I recommend focusing on attractions during the day with your regular park admission, then using your party time to enjoy all the entertainment offered. It’s good to note that there are a few rides that get a special holiday overlay, though! So, you might want to wait to enjoy those attractions during the party (or go on them twice–once during regular park hours and once during the party–to see the difference!).
The attractions that get a holiday twist during the party include Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor (subject to change). Jungle Cruise also turns into
Jingle Cruise during the holiday season, but you’ll be able to enjoy that attraction during regular park hours and at the party.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
