Hi Paula!
How wonderful that you will be celebrating the
holiday season at the "Most Magical Place on Earth"! My family and I were lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World Resort on Christmas Day a couple of years ago. We were happily surprised to find light crowds and low waits for attractions first thing in the morning. As you might guess, Christmas Day is a very popular day to visit
Magic Kingdom Park, and it did get busier later in the day. We had the best time enjoying all the holiday entertainment that is normally exclusive to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, such as Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas show.
Paula, I would keep an eye on the
park hours calendar. Currently hours for Magic Kingdom Park are scheduled from 9 am to 10:00 pm for your dates. The past few years during Christmas week, hours were from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight. My guess is we will see an update to the park hours calendar in a few weeks, and hopefully the
entertainment schedule will also be updated at that time. Full entertainment schedules often are not available until just a couple of weeks in advance. I can tell you that in the past, Holiday Wishes fireworks have been shown at around 9 or 10 pm during Christmas week. I would expect the
new holiday fireworks show debuting this year,
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, to do the same.
I hope that helps! Please visit the Moms Panel again if you have any additional questions. Wishing you a wonderful vacation, and a very Merry Christmas!
Anne Marie
