Does Magic Kingdom have 2 firework shows: Happily Ever After and Once Upon a Time? If so, what is the difference?

Hello there, Marcy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for reaching out with your Walt Disney World Resort question!

Walt Disney World Resort offers some of the top entertainment I have ever had the privilege of experiencing! From Live Entertainment, Character Experiences, Stage Shows, and more, there are just so many amazing ways to take in the wonderful world of Disney! Some of my personal favorites, though, are the nighttime shows!

You are absolutely correct in that Magic Kingdom does currently have two nighttime shows: Happily Ever After and Once Upon A Time! Both nighttime shows are comprised of jaw-dropping combinations of projections, fireworks, and music. However, the content of both shows is actually quite different!

Happily Ever After is an 18-minute long fireworks extravaganza that features state-of-the-art projection technology. Many beloved Disney animated films are utilized to tell a story of love, laughs, and life that will inspire you to live out your own happily ever after! Once Upon A Time is a 14-minute long nighttime show that breaths life into a variety of Disney characters and scenes. This show is hosted by Mrs. Potts and her adorable son Chip as they retell some of the most amazing moments that began with “Once Upon A Time”.

Personally, I adore both nighttime shows and make a point to view both during my own visits! I think Happily Ever After is the big, grand finale to your day while Once Upon A Time is the perfect bedtime story to send you home!

Have fun experiencing the magic of both nighttime shows at the Magic Kingdom!
