Going to be at Magic Kingdom on April 9,2015 for my son's 16th birthday .Reservation booked for 5:30 at Planet Hollywood for his Birthday dinner. What time should we leave park ? What is the quickest transportation to Downtown Disney & back to MK ?

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Lisa.  Your son is a very lucky young man to be able to spend his birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Don't forget to ask for a "Happy Birthday" button for him at either your resort or Guest Services at any of the theme parks.  He will get a kick out of wearing the button and enjoying all the wishes that will come his way.  You're never too grown up to experience the magic!

When traveling around the Walt Disney World resort using Disney transportation, I usually allow about  90 minutes to get from one place to the other.  From the Magic Kingdom, hop on the monorail or ferry boat to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  Once you arrive there, you may board a bus that will take you to Downtown Disney.

The most efficient way to get back to the Magic Kingdom is to take the bus that goes to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Follow the signage that will direct you to the correct bus lane.   Once you arrive at the resort, it's a short walk over to the Magic Kingdom.

The Moms Panel would like to wish your son a very Happy Birthday.  We hope he has a day that is practically perfect in every way!

    Be magical,
