I will be at the magic kingdom on April 18th. We are celebrating my granddaughter's birthday. I cant seem to find any availability for anything that day. Can you help?

Hi there, Christy! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy, I'm so excited to hear that you'll be celebrating your granddaughter's birthday at Magic Kingdom Park in just a few weeks! When it comes to celebrations, I can't think of a better backdrop than Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort. But Christy, I'm so sorry to hear that you're having difficulty finding available dining reservations at Magic Kingdom Park. Since advance dining reservations open 60 days prior to Guests' arrival dates, many reservations can get booked up in advance. But have no fear! I have a few ideas for you that will help make your granddaughter's celebration just right:

    • When looking at the dining options where reservations are accepted at Magic Kingdom Park, quite a bit of availability pops up at the time of this writing! While I'm not sure about the exact size of your travel party, there seems to be availability when checking for a party of 4 at Be Our Guest Restaurant, The Crystal Palace, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, Liberty Tree Tavern, The Plaza Restaurant, and Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Try to filter by date and time (even broader times, like "lunch" or "dinner") to see what's available leading up to your trip! Once you have something booked, you can continue to check back to see if more desirable restaurants or times are available for your travel party. And if you run into any problems with the above steps, feel free to call a friendly Cast Member! They'll be happy to take a peek at your reservation and help you with the options that are available to you.
    • Make use of the mobile order feature in the My Disney Experience app! The My Disney Experience app is a great resource to use while in the parks, allowing you to check wait times for attractions, access virtual queues, and even mobile order meals and snacks. This way, you know your Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Tots from The Friar's Nook will be ready and waiting for you before you ever feel a rumbly in your tumbly!
    • Be sure to grab a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button from any Guest Relations or Front Desk location! This will be a great way for the birthday girl to receive well-wishes from Guests and Cast Members, alike.
Be sure that you've also made your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system! This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip. And if you have any other questions, please visit us again! After all, you've got a friend in me.

    See ya real soon!
