I have a magic key pass, as well as my oldest son, coming up for renewal later this month. Recently I am married and gained two beautiful children who are 3 and 6. Am I able to add them when I renew my passes though they haven't "aged in"?

    Hi Stephanie!

Welcome to planDisney and congratulations on your recent Happily Ever After! It's so wonderful that you're hoping to share the magic with your newest Mouseketeers. I'm sure that your sweet family will make many happy memories together in the coming years.

Unfortunately, I have some less-than-magical news to share. As you have likely seen, new sales of Magic Key passes are paused at this time. I reached out to a Cast Member to inquire about your particular situation, and although she echoed my well-wishes on your recent nuptials, she confirmed that your 6-year-old would not qualify for any "age in" exceptions. You can contact (714) 781-4636 for clarification and details on adding the 3-year-old if they recently turned 3, though I can't guarantee that they will be able to assist.

I understand that you don't want to leave your newest family members out of the fun and I realize this puts you in a bit of a predicament. Unfortunately, I don't have any information on when Magic Key sales will resume but I'm crossing my fingers and making a wish upon a star that your family will find a solution. You might want to start by purchasing a multi-day ticket for the kids to spend some quality time together in the parks. If Magic Key sales resume on or before the last day of those ticket entitlements, you should be able to apply the ticket amount paid toward a Magic Key upgrade. I'd recommend reviewing the upgrade restrictions and reaching out to a Cast Member if you have additional questions.

Keep in mind that should you decide not to renew, you will not be able to reinstate your Magic Key after it has expired. You will have the option to purchase a new pass subject to availability when sales resume. I'd keep a close eye on Disney Parks Blog and the official Disneyland Magic Key Instagram account for the latest details as soon as they become available.

I'm sorry I didn't have happier news to share today, but I'm wishing you plenty of magic as you enjoy this exciting time with your loved ones. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and see us again.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
