Hi, Mustafa! Thanks for reaching out to planDisney!
There was a lot of pent-up demand for
Magic Key renewals; many of my friends waited anxiously in virtual queues hoping to extend their passes for another year. Sadly, the process did not have a fairy tale outcome for everyone. I'm so sorry to hear you missed out on your renewal by a day. I called the dedicated
Magic Key Holders phone line at (714) 781-7277 to see if they had any suggestions besides going to the Disneyland ticket booth. The Cast Member stated that Magic Key holders have thirty days before their Key expires to renew; if you don't renew before the pass's expiration date, the system will consider it a new sale, which is not being offered at this time. She recommended purchasing a new
standard theme park ticket before your next visit, just in case the ticket booth cannot renew your Magic Key.
I know this is not the pixie-dusted news you were hoping to hear. Occasionally, Disneyland will have
California Resident Ticket Offers. While it's not equivalent to having a Magic Key, it is a way to get discounted tickets, especially if you visit often. Also, the
Magic Key Terrace is available to Magic Key holders and their Guests (for a total of 4 Guests per party). Upon arrival at the Magic Key terrace, you can show your child's Magic Key pass in your
Disneyland app (at least one Magic Key holder must remain present for the entire experience). This is a great place to unwind and relax after a long day in the parks!
Hopefully, we will get some magical news about new Magic Key purchases soon, Mustafa. Until then, please send more questions our way...we're all ears!
