Will magic express from airport ever return? It was 1 less thing for parents to worry about to make trip more relaxing?

    Hi Tammy!
    Welcome to planDisney.

I think many guests would have been disappointed when Disney's Magical Express was discontinued because it was one less thing to think about!   We do not know whether it will return, but meanwhile, I have been using Mears Connect as a replacement service, and it is a pretty good alternative.  I would definitely recommend this as an easy option. You can book this bus service in advance so you can still get organised ahead of your vacation in the knowledge that your transfer to Walt Disney World is all set.   Please visit their website for details on pricing, and how to book.  This is probably the most affordable transport from both terminals at Orlando International Airport to all the Disney Resort hotels.  They operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and also offer an Express Service (which is direct to your hotel, but it may be shared with other guests).  If you don't want to book in advance, walk-ons are also welcome.

If you book this Mears Connect service you will be sent an email/text notification 23 hours in advance of your reservation - keep this boarding pass safe - you will need to show it when you arrive for your ride.  I thoroughly recommend Mears Connect and will always book them for whenever I don't rent a car at the airport.  They are comfortable, clean, and efficient.

For a more speedy transfer to your Disney Resort hotel,  you might prefer to book a Lyft ride.  I have used Lyft myself, both alone and with friends, and enjoyed the efficient service.  I downloaded the Lyft app which gives you a selection of available cars (with prices and varying pickup times).  You make payment on the app before your ride, so it's really easy.  If you don't want to wait around at the airport while the bus fills up, this would be a quicker alternative for you.

The Disney Minnie Van Service can also be ordered via the Lyft app if you fancy arriving for your vacation in style!

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  You can also send me a direct question if you wish.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news - this is where you will see any announcements about a return of Disney's Magical Express, if that ever happens.
