Going on the Magic to the Eastern Caribbean, sailing 4/13. I'm worried that the more experienced cruisers will sign up for all the fun things before we even know what to do! We've signed up for shore excursions, but what about onboard? Am I being silly?

    Ahoy there Kristina!

Can you believe you will be setting sail for the Caribbean next week?  I've sailed on the Disney Magic twice, and I know you are in for an amazing experience!  I felt the same way you did on my first Disney cruise, I didn't want to miss a thing!  It sounds like you are on the right track already by pre-booking your Port Adventures.  Luckily, many of the activities onboard do not require you to sign up, and since you are sailing for seven-nights, many offerings will be repeated. If you see an anchor next to the activity listed in your Personal Navigator, you know it will be offered again.  Some activities you can sign up for once you board the ship are the beer, wine, and martini tastings.  Just check with Guest Services about signing up and what nominal fees are involved.  Also on the seven-night sailings, Guests like to enjoy a special "tea" with some favorite Disney characters.  On my Magic cruise, Alice hosted us for lemonade and cookies in Rockin' Bar D.  Space is limited so you will want to visit Guest Services upon boarding to pick up your tickets.

My best advice is to carry your Personal Navigator, your daily cruise newsletter, with you wherever you go!  I also bring along highlighters so we can mark the events we do not want to miss.  Your stateroom host or hostess will leave one in your room each evening to give you time to look over it before your turn in for the night.  If you aren't sure about an activity, please call Guest Services or ask a crewmember for an explanation because they are always happy to help!

I'm so glad you visited the Moms Panel with your question, and I hope my suggestions help.  If you think of any other last minute questions, please let me know!

Have a magical day and bon voyage!
