Hi Donna,
Welcome back to planDisney and "Boo to You!" I'm excited to hear you'll be attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party later this year. You're set for a delightfully spooky visit but as the parade song goes, "It's really not so scary." Let's make sure you're ready to experience all the fun!
If you have a MagicBand from a previous visit you will be able to link your party tickets for entry into
Magic Kingdom Park on party night, as well as
unlock your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room door. The newer generation
MagicBand+ does offer some added features like special light sequences on select attractions and nighttime entertainment, but your trusty MagicBand should work just fine. I'd like to mention that I didn't automatically receive my attraction photo for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT the last time I used an older-generation MagicBand. I'm not sure if this was a one-off experience, but just keep that in mind if your attraction photos are a top priority during your visit.
You can confirm your MagicBand is active and linked to your
My Disney Experience App by accessing the feature menu (≡) at the bottom right of your app and selecting the "MagicBand and More" tile. Any active bands should appear on the list and you'll have the option to link a new MagicBand or MagicBand+ to your account at the bottom of the screen. You'll also want to ensure your party tickets and
resort reservation are linked to your My Disney Experience Account as well.
I hope this helped, Donna! If we can answer any additional questions please stop back and let us know. As you're making final arrangements for your visit be sure to
review our costume tips, too!
Wishing you a magical visit,
Amy
