    We still have our magic bands from our trip two years ago. Is there any way we can make sure they are still working before we decline our magic bands for our trip in July? I read that the battery lasts about two years, and we're a little over that.

    Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    You are correct that after a certain period of time, which can vary a bit from MagicBand to MagicBand, they no longer work. Since they are included as a complimentary part of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, I recommend that you order the new set for your upcoming visit. Then, if your old ones continue to work and you prefer to use them, you can use them. If they do not work or they cease to work during your trip, you will have the new ones as backup. It is possible to have more than one active MagicBand at a time, so you can even alternate days!
