    Can Magic Bands be transferred from one person to another? We have family that went to WDW last year but won't be traveling with us this trip. We're staying off site but our grandkids would like to have magic bands but we are trying to save money.

    Welcome back.  It's always a pleasure to help out a returning Guest.  I hope you are having a fabulous time planning your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World.

    I'm sorry to tell you but you will not be able to transfer a MagicBand to your grand kids.   Once a MagicBand is linked to a My Disney Experience account, it cannot be transferred to another person.  A MagicBand is unique to the Guest it is linked to, and only they are authorized to access the benefits linked to it.   

    If your grandchildren have visited Walt Disney World and have a MagicBand from a previous visit they can reuse the same MagicBand, if it is still active in My Disney Experience.   If not, you would need to purchase them their own MagicBands.  You can purchase a MagicBand once you arrive at Walt Disney World, or ahead of time at the Disney Store online.
