Are the magic bands removable or do they have to stay on the entire vacation? We are trying to figure out if the cards are a better choice as we think our 3 year old will not want to keep his on.

    Hi Jenna!

The Magic Bands can be taken off while you are in the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. You will only need the Magic Band on your wrist when you scan into the kiosk at the resort, then you can store it safely in your bag. If you think your three-year-old won't want to wear it the entire time, consider attaching it to a backpack or storing it safely in the pocket of your bag. I'm a huge fan of the Magic Bands over the cards, so I highly recommend getting Magic Bands for the family and storing your son's in a safe place.

Check out the My Disney Experience page for more information on how you can use the online tools and Magic Band to customize your experience and make your trip magical. I also recommend checking out the Planning for Preschool and Little Ones page for tips on traveling to Walt Disney World with your three-year old.

Hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
