MagicBand+ is one of my favorite items to have during our vacations to Walt Disney World. It allows me to quickly scan into my Lightning Lane entrance, charge my meals to my room, and pay for merchandise. It also allows me to experience magical extras around the park, like how it lights up during the nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After. Let's see what we can find out about your question.
Alrighty, so there are a few different ways that you can get a discount on purchasing your MagicBands. I’ve found that
The Disney Store website quite frequently offers discounts and free shipping on orders. If you are an Annual Pass Holder or DVC member, you can use your discount on the website as well. Just be sure to log in with your My Disney Experience account before checkout. You can also use either of these discounts to purchase MagicBands at the parks, resorts, or Disney Springs. Finally, you may be able to find discounted bands included with your vacation package. To see your options, log in to the
Walt Disney World website, hover your cursor over the My Plans button at the top, and then click on MagicBands. From here, you should see your vacation and people in your party. Click Get Started, then click Select under the person you would like to purchase a MagicBand+ for. I’m currently seeing quite a few with special pricing that you might like.
Before we part ways, I would like to share a little-known feature of the MagicBand+. You can customize many of the effects and colors of your band using the My Disney Experience app. You can do this by tapping on the 3 bars (≡) at the bottom right-hand corner. Scroll down to MagicBands & Cards and choose the person associated with the band. Here, you can change the Light Up Theme for when you interact with park attractions. You can also adjust the brightness, vibrations, and other interactive features. It’s a neat way to make your experience even more magical.
