Where do I get the magic bands from? I have heard conflicting answers

Hey there, Tara! Thanks for coming to planDisney and trusting us with your vacation planning question.

I am a self-proclaimed MagicBand addict. One of my favorite things about any of my vacations to The Most Magical Place on Earth is receiving that box in the mail and wearing my newest band on the airplane.

Since you have decided that you want to get new MagicBands, (and there are some super cute ones available right now), you can purchase them for a discount through your MyDisneyExperience once you have your resort reservation booked. You can also browse a large selection at shopDisney online. Once you are at Walt Disney World, you can also purchase a new band in many of the retail locations throughout the property.

If you have MagicBands from a previous visit, you can absolutely bring those as well. I try to coordinate my MagicBands with my Minnie ears and my outfit, so I typically have 5-6 bands with me on my trip. The official word is that the battery life in older bands is two years, but I have some that are way older than that and they still work.

I am excited for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth in February! I hope this helps with your planning.

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
