Great question about MagicBands! Fiona, if you have a MagicBand+, I’m delighted to share that you can use it at the Disneyland Resort. However, if your band is an older version, unfortunately, you will need to upgrade to a MagicBand+. If that’s the case, you can purchase one through the
ShopDisney website or at various locations within the Disneyland Resort, including the hotels and
Downtown Disney.
Here’s a helpful Q-Tip, Fiona! To use your MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort, you will need to link it to your
Disneyland App. Start by logging into your MyDisney Account in the Disneyland Mobile App. Tap the menu icon (the three horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner. Then scroll down to the Account section and select “MagicBand+”. From there, click the blue plus sign in the top corner to link your band.
Once your MagicBand+ is linked, be sure to explore all the interactive features it offers! In addition to making it easy to scan into the parks and access Lightning Lane reservations, your MagicBand+ may light up and vibrate during shows like
Fantasmic! and even in certain attractions. Personally, I love how my MagicBand+ glows red at the end of the
Haunted Mansion. It’s a fun little reminder to “hurry back!”
