Welcome to planDisney, Samantha! I'm so glad you stopped by because your Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the riverbend. Let's talk about MagicBands and how they can make your trip a breeze. Let's "charge" ahead!
I'm sorry you're having technical difficulties with your
MagicBand+. I've found they can be a little persnickety to snap into the charging cradle, so my first suggestion is to keep jiggling to ensure it makes good contact. You should feel a satisfying
snap when it's correctly seated. But since yours is blinking green, there could be a different issue.
The good news is that your band will work as your theme park admission, your Disney Resort Hotel room key, and for scanning in at Lightning Lane entrances, even if it's not charged at all. The charging feature is what powers the fun haptics and lights on your band, and I've heard that some uncharged bands don't always work for attraction photos.
I'd also like to mention
Disney MagicMobile Service, which lets your phone perform all of the above actions. So if your MagicBand+ isn't working when you arrive, you can have a quick plan B! You can set this up in your My Disney Experience mobile app by scrolling to the Account section and selecting "Set up MagicMobile Entry."
For some troubleshooting help, you can call the
App and MagicBand Support line. The Cast Members are technical wizards and will walk you through some
steps to try with your band.
My friends and I enjoyed the
Festival of the Lion King show yesterday at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Not only were we treated to front-row seating, but I was also delighted with all the fun interactions on my MagicBand+. I felt like I was truly a part of the show!
Samantha, I'm waving my magic wand and wishing on a star that you can get your MagicBand+ up and running for your vacation. Please come back to
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
