    Magic Band Questions: Can magic bands be used in every retail location inside Disney parks? Trying to figure out if I will need any other money for anything while in the parks. What about downtown Disney? Can magic bands be used there? Thanks

    Hi Denise,

    I love Disney's Magic Bands! It is so nice to only have to worry about the Magic Band and not my room key, tickets or cash. 

    When you are in the parks and resorts, you need only your Magic Band to pay for items. This includes stores, restaurants and the little kiosks. I generally always have a $20 on me just in case something goes wrong and I need a churro.

    When it comes to Downtown Disney, I recommend that you bring another form of payment. If it is a Disney owned store such as TrenD or World of Disney, there is no problem. If it is not Disney-owned such as Wetzel Pretzels, you might need another form of payment.
