    Magic Band question - we have a trip booked for May of 2022. I know that Magic Bands won't be provided after 2021 (without paying); will we still be able to use our older bands? If I prefer to buy new ones, will those still be able to be used?

    You are my kind of Disney planner! I love planning our Disney adventures far in advance - not only do I find the planning part to be lots of fun, but the earlier I start planning, the longer I have to think about and look forward to all the magic and fun! I'm glad to hear you're already bringing some Disney joy to your days by thinking ahead to your 2022 visit!

    I'm happy to let you know that yes, MagicBands are reusable and as long as their batteries are still functioning, you'll be able to use MagicBands you've saved from previous visits. Just make sure they're still marked as "Active" within your My Disney Experience account. While you are correct that MagicBands are no longer complimentary, they are still available for a discounted price for guests staying in the magic with Disney Resorts Collection. MagicBands aren't going anywhere, and you'll continue to see new colors and styles available for purchase and use. Have you heard about the all new Disney MobileMagic service where you may use your iPhone or Apple Watch to access the parks just like you'd use a MagicBand? The great news is that you are welcome to use that service if you'd like or a MagicBand. Whether you use a MagicBand, Disney MobileMagic service, or a card, all options will link back to your My Disney Experience account and the data stored there. Please feel free to use whichever option you prefer or interchange them as needed during your visit! Isn't it great that there are so many fun and convenient ways to access the magic?
