    I have a magic band that is prob 4-5 years old. How can I check to see if the battery is low? It shows connected to MDE but I don’t want it to konk out during my trip. Also, can the battery be changed?

    This is a great question with a not-so-simple answer. Disney MagicBand's batteries typically last 2 to 3 years BUT I have some that are as old as time and STILL work. There truly is no way of knowing if they still work until your arrival and there is no option to replace the battery. I suggest bringing your Disney MagicBand and if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort visit the Front Desk so they can determine if it is still working. If not, a hard copy ticket called a Keys To The World Card will be assigned to you and you can use that for your entire stay or until you purchase a new Disney MagicBand during your visit. If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort and find your Disney MagicBand has gone off to Neverland never to return again, make your way to a Guest Relations/Ticket Counter located outside of all the Walt Disney World Theme Parks to receive a Keys To The World Card. Another option, if you have an eligible iPhone, Apple Watch or Google Pay enabled Android phone, is to create a digital pass with the new Disney MagicMobile service. This service is found in your My Disney Experience mobile app and allows Guests to turn their tickets into digital passes so all they need to do is scan their device to the touch-point and be on their way to start their Magical Day. Multiple passes can be saved on one device.
