Will be on the Magic in August. I have heard that to see a doctor on board will be at extra cost. If i need basic things such as band aids, ice pack, aspirin, etc.. would I be charged for these as well?

    Hey Justine!

Another great question!  I like you are planning ahead because when you travel with children you never know what you might need.  Basic medical needs such as aspirin, Tylenol, Alka-Seltzer, and band aids are available at Guest Services.  Any time you need these items just head down to Deck Three, and they will be happy to assist you!  You are correct that the Doctor onboard does charge an additional fee, but if you have travel insurance it should cover the cost of seeing the doctor and any medication he may prescribe.  My son woke up feeling ill on the morning we were disembarking the ship to go home.  We were still able to see the doctor and receive medication.  I filed the claim with the travel insurance company and was reimbursed within two weeks.  I was very impressed at how easy the entire process was since we have never had to use it before!

I hope you will not be in need of any medical attention during your cruise, but Disney Cruise Line's medical staff will make sure you receive the best care at sea.

    Thanks again for writing!
