I made Savi lightsaber reservations this morning. I noticed that some hours were after park closing (up to 1 hour after closing). Will a cast memeber escort us out of the park if our Savi reservations start after park closing hours?

    Hi Kathleen!

Welcome back to planDisney, and congratulations on snagging a coveted reservation to Savi’s Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers! It is one of the most popular Enchanting Extras at Walt Disney World and after accompanying my sons on their adventure, I have to say it lives up to the hype! I certainly felt immersed in the experience, and I found myself even feeling a little tearful as my three boys lived out their Star Wars dreams and built their own custom lightsaber.

The published theme park closing time is the time that the attraction queues close, but typically select merchandise locations, and the shops near the park entrance stay open for an additional hour. There are still many Guests in the park that are finishing meals, and waiting in queues. Rest assured that Cast Members will not be trying to walk you out of the park at exactly closing time. If anyone inquires, just let them know about your reservation. At the end of your experience at Savi’s Workshop, you may or may not be escorted out depending on how late it is. Typically Cast Members are stationed in strategic locations and you’ll be encouraged to head toward the exit.

On our summer visit, we would often jump into the queue for a popular attraction just before closing. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios we got in line for Slinky Dog Dash just 5 minutes before the official park closing, but it took us more than an hour to wait and ride the attraction. When we got off the ride, Cast Members had kindly moved our stroller closer to the exit for us and were blocking the path back into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but we were allowed to slowly enjoy our walk to the park exit. We even stopped along the way for a family photo at the entrance to Toy Story Land.

I hope this helps to answer your question, Kathleen!
