Made RSVP for PL in MK and was told to allow plenty of time to get there as the process into MK is quite involved.I just thought we drive from hotel(off property) to MK parking lot and walk in. Can you explain the process from leaving hotel and so on? Tnx

    Hi Janette!

Your son or daughter will absolutely love Disney's Pirates League!  Little ones have the opportunity to transform into their pirate alter ego, pick a pirate name, have it forever inscribed in the Captain's Log and search for lost treasure!

The process of arriving to the Magic Kingdom theme park is more than just "park and walk"  Magic Kingdom is the only Walt Disney World park without a dedicated parking lot.  Guests park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), and opt for the Ferry boats or the monorail, which will take them to the front of Magic Kingdom park.  When you pass through the toll plaza, you will be directed to the parking lots, where Cast Members (in Yellow outfits) will direct you to a parking spot.  You will then board the tram (or walk if you are lucky to park close enough) to the TTC.  Once at the TTC, you can head towards the Ferry boats, which will take you directly to the turnstiles at MK, or you can take the monorail, which will stop at the Polynesian Resort and Grand Floridian Resorts before making its way to the turnstiles at MK.  Once at the turnstiles, there is security bag check, so plan for a slight wait.  All in all, you should budget at least an hour prior to scheduled PL reservation, in order to arrive on time.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
