Hi Jeff!
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question.
If you have no plans to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you'll want to place a call in to Disney Dining Reservations and inquire about having your reservation time adjusted. Speak to a Cast Member at 407-WDW-DINE and let them know your situation. You'll want to find yourself a reservation time for perhaps 5:30/6:00pm instead.
Since Magic Kingdom does officially 'close' to daytime visitors at 7:00pm on party dates, all Guests not attending the Halloween Party are required to exit the park by 7:00pm and only those Guests with official party wristbands will be able to remain in the park or enter dining and attractions locations. Cast Members will be checking for wristbands throughout the park as 7:00pm draws near and afterwards.
Should you decide to add tickets for your family, you may do so online at the
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party page. It's a fantastic event that I highly recommend you experience one evening during your stay.
If you should decide to pursue an alternate dining location near by, consider
Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge Resort. A lovely boat ride will take you there and you'll enjoy a fantastic evening of great food! It's one of my kids' favourites! A trip to the
Downtown Disney Area afterwards will really complete your evening and provide everyone with a great time!
Please write me back any time if I can provide you with further assistance or recommendations Jeff.
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
Kirsten
