When I made my reservations, I didn't include my mother's MyDisneyExperience account in my "friends and family" contacts. Can I change the guest on my reservation from the "generic" guest to allow my mother access to our plans?

    Hi Frederic,

Welcome to planDisney! I am sure the whole family is getting excited about your upcoming trip to Disney World. The only thing better than visiting Disney World is bringing the whole family along for the experience!

Adding your mother to your Disney Resort hotel reservations should not be an issue. The first thing you need to do is make sure that she is on your "Family and Friends" list. To add her to your "Family and Friends," open the My Disney Experience app and go to your "Family and Friends" list. Click "Add a Guest" at the bottom of the page and enter her name, age, and email address to send an invitation. Once she accepts your invitation, it will be super easy to add her to your reservations.

To change a guest on a Disney World reservation, log into your My Disney Experience account and go to "My Plans." Once you have navigated to "My Plans," find your reservation and select "Modify Reservation." You can navigate through the prompts to change the guests on your reservation. Simply select your mother's profile instead of the currently unnamed guest and finish checking out. There will be no change to the pricing unless you add tickets or modify something. If you feel uncomfortable making these changes online, you can also call Existing Reservations to have a friendly cast member make the changes for you.

Since your trip is fast approaching, set a calendar reminder for 60 days before your arrival. At that time, you will be able to make advanced dining reservations for your trip! I like to make these as early as possible so I get a guaranteed spot at my favorite character dining experiences and restaurants. If you don't know where you want to start with reservations, our favorite character dining experience is the Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch at 'Ohana. This is the perfect way to start any Disney World day.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
