We just made reservations for December and added Parkhopper option, however you can only reserve one park per day due to Covid restrictions. How does this work? Are we going to have difficulty visiting more than one park per day?

Hi there, Leslee! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Walt Disney World Resort has reopened and is inviting Guests back to experience all of the magic they love! With the initial reopening stages, there have been a few changes that you may want to keep in mind for your upcoming stay. During your visit, you can look forward to enhanced cleaning across the property, temporary adjustments to promote physical distancing, and modified experiences to reduce contact. Personally, my family found these changes to be incredibly helpful and felt so safe during our own visits! I cannot express how nice it was to feel so at ease during our vacations and have the pleasure of taking a break from our otherwise hectic year!

One of the changes that are incredibly important is the need for theme park reservations prior to visiting any of the four theme parks. Reservations may be made through the Disney Park Pass system as soon as you have purchased your theme park tickets. It is highly recommended that you check the availability through the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar online for your travel dates before purchasing tickets so you can guarantee you will be able to enter on your desired dates!

For Guests that are taking advantage of the Park Hopper Option, you will be able to visit more than one park without needing multiple theme park reservations! All you will need to do is make your initial reservation and enter that theme park. Then, once Park Hopper hours begin at 2:00 pm, you will be able to hop on over to your next destination. Park Hopping is subject to each theme park’s capacity limits and may be unavailable during busy periods of time. This is most often a concern when traveling during holidays as these are the most crowded times of the year. I highly recommend downloading the My Disney Experience app onto your smartphone before your visit as this is a great way to receive real-time notifications whenever a theme park reaches capacity!

I hope this information assists you as you continue to plan for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this December! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you  as well!
