Hi, Shannon!
Congratulations on securing a reservation for
Cinderella's Royal Table! This is one of the most popular dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort and consequently is very difficult to get.
Yes, you're absolutely correct that Cinderella's Royal Table requires two (2) dining plan entitlements per person. When you are using a dining plan, this Character Dining location requires a credit card guarantee to hold your reservation. If you are paying out of pocket instead, then pre-payment in full is required at the time of reservation. What you were likely seeing when you made the reservation is the credit card guarantee. There is a one-day
cancellation policy which means that you will be charged a fee (typically $10 per person) if you should cancel with less than one day's notice or fail to show up for your reservation.
Many Guests who use a dining plan find the credit card guarantee required at certain restaurants to be a bit confusing, but I hope I've helped to clarify the situation for you. Disney instituted the credit card guarantee and cancellation policy to reduce the number of last-minute cancellations and no-shows at some of the most sought-after Character and Signature dining locations.
