I have made reservations at Coronado Springs. I have notice that Animal Kingdom resort has openings. WIll I loose my deposit if I choose to rebook there? Thank you.

Hi there, Brian! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and ask your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Both Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are excellent resorts to call “home” during your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a lakeside resort that blends influences from Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures to create its unique theme while Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge celebrates the various cultures found throughout Africa. You will also find four different savannas that house over 200 critters that you can view from various portions of the resort!

Fortunately, changing your Disney Resort hotel is quite easy if you choose to do so! I am also happy to report that you will not lose your deposit if you are just modifying your stay!

If you would like to make changes online, you will first need to log into your My Disney Experience account. From there, navigate over to the “My Plans” section and identify which reservation you would like to alter. You should then be able to click a link titled “Modify Reservation”. This will take you to a page that allows you to modify all different parts of your reservation including which Disney Resort hotel you are staying with! Once you have made your selections, you will be prompted to pay the difference if your selections are more expensive than your initial reservation. If you would prefer to make changes over the phone, you can call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line. Here, a helpful Cast Member will assist you with making any changes you need to make!

I hope this information assists you as you continue to plan your trip to Walt Disney World Resort this November! Be sure to let us know if we can provide any additional planning support!
