I made a reservation for one day separately from my friends. How do make it one group?

Hi Lynn, and welcome to planDisney! We’re always delighted to help you plan a magical adventure, especially when it means bringing friends together for a day at Disneyland.

As the planner in my own group, I know how important it is to have everything organized in one place. While theme park reservations themselves can’t be merged into a single reservation, the good news is that the Disneyland app makes it easy to link tickets so your group can plan and enjoy the day together seamlessly.

To get started, log in to your Disney account in the Disneyland app. Tap the menu icon (those three magical horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner and select “My Tickets and Passes.” From there, tap the plus icon in the upper-right corner and choose “Link Tickets and Passes.” You can either manually enter each ticket’s ID number or use the app’s camera feature to scan the barcode. Once everyone’s tickets are linked, your friends and family will appear in your party, allowing you to manage plans together.

After tickets are linked, it’s important to confirm that everyone has a theme park reservation for the same date and starting location. Each Guest still needs their own valid reservation, even when traveling together. You can double-check this by visiting the “My Plans” section of the app or website. Once that’s set, you’ll be able to book Lightning Lane return times for the group at once, coordinate dining plans, and even share PhotoPass photos, which makes reliving the memories that much easier.

One strategy my wife and I love when traveling with a group is dividing responsibilities in the app. On busy days, one person can handle Lightning Lane selections while another manages mobile food orders. It keeps things moving smoothly and leaves more time to enjoy the fun together.

Lynn, I also noticed that your visit lines up with the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, which is a fantastic time to be together. With marketplace booths celebrating flavors inspired by the Golden State and the return of Soarin’ Over California for a limited time, there’s plenty to enjoy as a group. Q-Tip: keep an eye (and nose!) out during Soarin’ for those familiar California scents that make this version so special.

If you have more questions about linking tickets or planning as a group, we’d love to welcome you back to planDisney.

Wishing you a smooth setup and a deliciously fun day together,
    David
