Hi Andrea! Welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you have a really wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort on the horizon, and I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. I’m happy to help you feel confident about your plans before you arrive.
To enter the
Disneyland Resort theme parks, every Guest needs both a valid theme park admission (this can be a
standard theme park ticket or
a Magic Key pass) and a
theme park reservation for whichever park they are planning to visit that day. These two items always work together. If you did not purchase tickets when booking your stay, you will need to do so in order to enter the parks.
To confirm whether you purchased your tickets during your
Vacation Package booking process, look for an email with the subject line “Disneyland Confirmation.” This email includes instructions on how to link your Vacation Package to your Disney account. Once it’s linked, your hotel stay and park reservations should appear under “My Plans” when you log into the Disneyland website or use the
Disneyland app. A few days before your arrival, if you purchased theme park tickets, your ticket barcodes will typically show up automatically. However, if you’d like to verify sooner, that same confirmation email includes a Ticket Confirmation Number. If you do not see a Ticket Confirmation Number, you will need to purchase theme park tickets for the date of your visit.
If your tickets are available, then you can manually link your tickets by hovering over “My Disneyland” on the Disneyland website and selecting “Link Tickets and Passes.” Enter the number there, and you should be all set. If you don’t see what you expect or just want reassurance that everything is set up correctly, the Cast Members on the
“Tickets” or“ Vacation Packages” support lines are always happy to help.
Since you’ll be visiting during the fall season, you’re arriving at such a charming time of year. The moment you enter Disneyland, you’ll see the giant Mickey Pumpkin smiling at Guests along Main Street. (It makes for an adorable photo, especially toward the evening when the lights start to glow). Seasonal treats may also be available, like pumpkin beignets, and if you plan to visit New Orleans Square, Haunted Mansion Holiday often brings a delightful seasonal surprise inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s a wonderful time for cozy strolls and taking in the warm details of the season.
If you have any other questions as your visit gets closer, please feel welcome to stop by planDisney again. We’re always happy to help.
Wishing you a magical stay this fall,
David
