We have made all our plans for in upcoming trip. We had planned to take the family to typhoon lagoon but I noticed neither water park shows hours after sept. We’re looking at early October is there any news

Cowabunga, Edie, and welcome to planDisney where we hang ten every chance we get! I see your Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming up in a few weeks, so let's do the backstroke to see what we can uncover about the water parks.

I chatted with a gnarly Cast Member named Joanna Lynn, who said that at least one water park is typically open year-round. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is currently operating, but you are correct that specific information isn't available yet for October. I'd suggest you check the website often because calendar information is often updated near the beginning of the month. You can also follow the Disney Parks Instagram page and watch the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements. I wish I had more concrete news for you, but I think you'll have the information you need soon.

During your trip, I recommend you check out the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. I love sampling food from around the world at the Global Marketplaces. I can't wait to try the Impossible Burger Sliders at the Flavors From Fire booth. Also, keep an eye open for a peek at the not-yet-opened Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction at EPCOT. It's slated to open later this year, but it looks fabulous. It's not a water park, but it's close!

Edie, I hope your upcoming trip goes swimmingly, and I'm sending pixie dust and sunscreen that you'll get some time at a water park. Please stop by planDisney anytime. We love keeping guests afloat!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
