Hi, Deana! We are so honored that you stopped by planDisney with your question! You must be so excited about your upcoming trip. "Make a wish upon a star; the magic is here!"
It sounds like you have a fantastic night planned.
Chef Mickey's is always loads of fun- be ready to swing your napkin in the air! The meal is still being served family style, so make sure to bring your appetite; the Garlic au Gratin Potatoes and Strawberry Cream Cake are my favorites.
However, the showstopper of the evening will no doubt be
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. Seeing the fireworks over Cinderella Castle is nothing short of magical. The show is inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which features state-of-the-art pyrotechnics, projection effects, and lasers. I have watched the fireworks many times throughout the years from the 4th-floor concourse at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. This viewing area is a bit of a hidden gem, as it never seems too crowded, and they pipe in the music.
Unlike California Grill's terrace, this area is open to all guests. The fireworks on party nights tend to go off around 10:15 PM, and you'll need to arrive early if you want a seat. I don't mind standing, so I usually get there about 15 minutes ahead of time and watch from the Skyway Bridge, which connects to Bay Lake Tower. Schedule a visit to
Outer Rim Lounge for a pre-show cocktail if you have a few extra minutes.
Have a magical time, Deana! Please feel free to write back if there's anything else we can help you with.
