Welcome to planDisney, Crystal!
I'm sorry to hear you made an error when making your
Disney Park Pass reservations. No worries! At Walt Disney World Resort, Guests are welcome to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions any day of the year, and that includes Very Merry Unbirthdays as well!
If your schedule allows, my recommendation would be to stick with your plans to visit
Magic Kingdom Park on the date you currently hold reservations for. Your family will be so excited to enjoy all the magic of the
50th Anniversary Celebration, no matter the date! Be sure to stop by
Guest Relations and pick up a complimentary Happy Birthday button for your husband as well as some 1st Visit buttons for your kids. After all the excitement of Magic Kingdom Park, spend the day of your husband's birthday enjoying a leisurely breakfast, perhaps some time relaxing by the pool or visiting
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (no reservations required), followed by a special dinner at one of the many restaurants at
Disney Springs or
Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and
Steakhouse 71 are just two of
many amazing dining locations that will be perfect for celebrating his special day. You can even
add on a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake at select locations when making your reservation!
If you will only be able to visit Walt Disney World Resort on the day of your husband's birthday, I would recommend adding the
Park Hopper Option to your ticket, which will help you get even more magic from your day. Make a Disney Park Pass reservation at one of the other theme parks, and then hop over to Magic Kingdom Park when park hopping hours begin at 2:00 pm. I'm sure your husband would enjoy sampling all the
delicious bites and sips at the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, while your kids would love shrinking down to mouse-size to enjoy
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and visiting Arendelle and Queen Elsa's ice palace at
Frozen Ever After. Be sure to check the
theme park availability calendar before canceling your current reservations. With spring break season now upon us, some dates have limited reservation availability.
I'm wishing your family a magical vacation and your husband a very Happy Birthday! No matter which day or theme park you choose to visit, I'm sure you will have a fantastic time making wonderful memories
together. And that is certainly something to celebrate.
