Hi Marcos,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us. I’m sorry that you are having a bit of an issue trying to set up your
Disney MagicMobile Service in your
My Disney Experience account.
Each Guest needs a valid
Walt Disney World Theme Park Admission assigned to their name, but don’t worry, like Frozen’s Kristoff, this is just a bit of a fixer-upper!
It sounds like you simply need to assign one of the tickets to your dad. The easiest way to accomplish this is to log in to the
Walt Disney World Resort website under the
My Disney Experience tab. Then select
My Family & Friends and scroll to the bottom until you see
+Add a Guest. Then select
“I’ll enter their name and age.” to add your dad’s information and select
18+ as his age.
When you do that, an option will pop up saying
“I want to manage all plans for this Guest” or
“Invite this Guest to connect.” In your case, Marcos, I recommend that you select
“I want to manage all plans for this Guest.” Finally, refresh the webpage to make sure the change has taken effect in your account.
Once your dad is listed in your
My Family & Friends, go back to the main
My Disney Experience tab and select
My Plans. Scroll down to
My Plans, Reservations and Tickets, and you will see
Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker (in small blue font). Select this option and then you should see all the tickets you have available. Both tickets should say they are assigned to you, so over to the right of one of the tickets you will select
Reassign Ticket and your dad’s name should be on the list of
Family & Friends to whom you can reassign one of the tickets.
To make sure this change takes effect in your
My Disney Experience app, be sure to close it out and allow it to refresh your account. Once you do that, you should see MagicMobile passes for you and your dad. At the parks, you and your dad will be able to enter the parks with both passes on your one mobile device.
If your dad plans to go the parks without you, he will need to have either a “paper” ticket (to receive one, he must show a valid photo ID at a ticket booth at any of the theme parks), a MagicBand or the My Disney Experience app on a mobile device or his Disney MagicMobile pass in an iPhone Apple Wallet.
Marcos, if the plan above isn’t fixing the issue, please
contact a Cast Member who specializes in My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+ technical issues. Once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, stop by a theme park ticket booth or other
Guest Relations location for additional assistance.
Fixing up a fixer-upper takes a little time and a little bit of love, but I’m confident you and your dad will be creating magical memories soon! If you have any other questions, please let us know!
See ya real soon,
Shannon
