Welcome to planDisney, Amelia.
Thanks for stopping by with your question. My planDisney pals and I love nothing more than helping fellow Guests plan their next Disney adventure.
If you're thinking of dining at
'Ohana, you can't go wrong. This restaurant has amazing all-you-care-to-enjoy food (don't miss the 'Ohana Noodles and Bread Pudding!) and gives you an excuse to visit my favorite hotel,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If you dine at 'Ohana, Amelia, you'll be able to see
Happily Ever After from the restaurant. There is a huge wall of windows that face
Cinderella Castle and provide a "practically perfect" view of the nighttime spectacular. However, you can also head down to the beach area to watch the show. It can get a bit crowded down there, so you might want to grab a spot 30 minutes early. if your dining reservation is at 6:40 p.m. and the show is at 8:00 p.m., you'll be cutting it close. However, it's definitely doable. My kids can take a long time to eat their food. You could always show up a bit early at the restaurant and see if they can fit you in earlier. You can also keep checking for an earlier spot to open up between now and your trip.
If you do decide to watch the show from the beach, here's an idea: Stop by
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace and choose a delicious cocktail from their amazing menu. There's nothing like watching the fireworks with a tasty drink to celebrate!
I hope that's helpful, Amelia. See ya real soon!
