Hi Cynthia!
Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy that you are here, and you have brought us your question about Disney dining. I am a self-professed
Disney dining expert, so I am one of the first to experience some of the newest dining experiences at
Walt Disney World! I highly recommend you try and reserve a dinner at Steakhouse 71. The
steak selections are incredible, the Sea Salt-dusted Potato Brioche is divine, and you must end the night with the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake!
Cynthia, I am typically the designated driver in my party, mostly because I know the roads around Walt Disney World better than they do. I know the value of having a passenger be the person who is able to check us into the restaurant on the
My Disney Experience app. I am happy to tell you that you do not need to be the primary person on the reservation in order to check into a dining experience. Only people who are actively linked to the reservation will be able to check in to the restaurant. When you make your dining reservation, be sure to link the other guests in your friends and family list to the reservation and they will be able to check-in instead of you.
I hope this helps you plan a most magical vacation, and should you have more questions please feel free to come back and ask us again!
Malanie
